14 Banks Among Armenia’s 300 Largest Taxpayers

Fourteen Armenian banks and three universal credit organizations were listed among Armenia’s 300 largest taxpayers in the first half of 2008, their assignments to Armenia’s state budget totaling 7.1bln AMD.
YEREVAN, July 25. /ARKA/. Fourteen Armenian banks and three universal credit organizations were listed among Armenia’s 300 largest taxpayers in the first half of 2008, their assignments to Armenia’s state budget totaling 7.1bln AMD.

The RA Taxation Service reports that direct taxes totaled 6.7bln AMD or 94.6% of the total amount paid by the 14 banks and three credit organizations.

The following banks are among the top 100 taxpayers in Armenia: Ardshininvestbank (1.4bln AMD, 19th in the list), ACBA Credit Agricole Bank (1.3bln AMD, 24th in the list), HSBC Bank Armenia (1.2bln AMD, 27th), Armeconombank (501.4mln AMD, 74th), Conversebank (391.7mln AMD, 87th) and Armbusinessbank (342.6mln AMD, 98th).

The list also includes the Bank VTB (Armenia), Unibank, Inecobank, Bank Anelik, Araratbank, ArmSwissbank, Bank Prometey, Armenian Development Bank, as well as three credit organizations - Norvik (218.7mln AMD), Aregak (180.6mln AMD) and Finca (139.1mln AMD).
