Employees of Armenian Ameriabank planted Saturday 100 trees in Yerevan Nor Nork administrative district as part of a special event to mark the centenary of the bank.
YEREVAN, November 15, /ARKA/. Employees of Armenian Ameriabank planted Saturday 100 trees in Yerevan Nor Nork administrative district as part of a special event to mark the centenary of the bank.
Armine Kazarian, head of the bank’s human resources department, said the trees were planted on a territory that had previously many trees, which were logged in early 90s when Armenia was experiencing severe electricity shortage.
Navasard Dadian from Armenian Tree Project (ATP) charity organization said the area has irrigation system and the trees will have no irrigation problem.
Ameriabank is a corporate bank with integrated investment-banking and a limited number of retail banking services. The bank’s board of directors is headed by Ruben Vardanian. Its CEO is Artak Hanesian. In 2007 Ameriabank's shares were bought by one of the biggest Russian investment cosmogonies Troika Dialog. -0-
