Agreement on exclusion of double taxation between Armenia and Iraq initialed in Yerevan

The agreement on the exclusion of double taxation on income and property between Armenia and Iraq was initialed in Yerevan, the Armenian Ministry of Finance said.
YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. The agreement on the exclusion of double taxation on income and property between Armenia and Iraq was initialed in Yerevan, the Armenian Ministry of Finance said. It said the initialing took place after the negotiations that took place in Armenia from February 19 to February 22.
The Armenian and Iraqi sides declared their readiness to take steps to promptly organize the signing of the agreement.
Currently, Armenia has similar agreements with 47 countries. The latest agreement was signed in 2017 with Israel. The purpose of these agreements is to eliminate double taxation in foreign trade between the two states, to prevent tax discrimination against economic entities of the parties, to exclude double taxation on property and income, and to create a predictable and stable tax environment for businesses. -0-
