Ameria advisory firm is first Armenian company to become full member of EU framework agreement

YEREVAN, March 28. /ARKA/. Yerevan-based Ameria Advisory firm is the first Armenian company to become a full member of EU’s framework agreement (consortium lot 7) as a result of a pre-qualifier contest of the European Commission (Development and Cooperation ЕuropeAid).

According to the rules of the framework agreement, firms included in consortium 7 handle contracts worth up to EUR 300 thousand related to human rights, civil society, public administration, justice and home affairs.

More specifically, these topics include diverse issues such as protection of human rights (social, economic, cultural, political and civil ), promotion of democracy (eliminating social and political conflicts), electoral processes , promoting freedom of expression, free, independent and economically viable media,  promotion of justice and the rule of law (judicial and criminal reforms), public administration and civil service reforms, increasing the role of civil society , the fight against organized crime and terrorism .

"This membership is a great opportunity in terms of recognition that will enable us to establish new partnership relationships in different countries, to enhance our own experience, and to present the professional opportunities of  Ameria ,” Karine Nikoghosyan, coordinator of the The Seventh Lot of EU Framework Agreement of Ameria, was quoted as saying in a news release.

Together with other companies included in the seventh lot, Ameria has obtained an opportunity to carry out consulting projects for three years with leading advisory firms of different countries.

Consortium includes also Spain, Hungary, Belgium, France, Austria, Honduras, Greece, USA, Germany, Denmark, Canada and Italy and 17 firms.

The consortium is led by the Spanish company Altair, which has been involved in the framework agreement since 1999.
