Ameriabank expects its retail loan portfolio to increase by 30% this year to over $100 million, Ameriabank’s Retail Operations Director Arman Barseghyan said today.

YEREVAN, September 30. / ARKA /. Ameriabank expects its retail loan portfolio to increase by 30% this year to over $100 million, Ameriabank’s Retail Operations Director Arman Barseghyan said today.
Speaking at a news conference he specified that the factors contributing to the growth are issuance of new payment cards, increased lending to small and medium-sized businesses and car loans.
He said consumer lending is expected to surge by as much as 50 percent, adding also that the bank is not going to revise its portfolio and will pursue the approved strategy.
"Our portfolio is sufficiently diversified with no concentration on individual products. This allows us to manage it much more efficiently," said Barseghyan.
Ameriabank is a universal bank that provides investment, corporate and retail banking services in the form of a comprehensive package of banking solutions. It is the first investment bank in Armenia that has been providing a wide range of innovative banking services since 2007.
The bank's assets as of July 1, 2014 amounted to 342.7 billion drams (an 8.8% growth from the beginning of the year), its liabilities stood at 302.5 billion drams (up 9.48%), and the capital – at 40.2 billion. drams (up 3.9%).
