Ameriabank has provided $30 million in scoring lending to individuals over ten months, Arman Barseghyan, the bank’s retail banking services director, said Thursday at a panel discussion on “SME Development Obstacles and Ways to Overcome Them”.
YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. Ameriabank has provided $30 million in scoring lending to individuals over ten months, Arman Barseghyan, the bank’s retail banking services director, said Thursday at a panel discussion on “SME Development Obstacles and Ways to Overcome Them”.
In his words, the lending for individuals, including mortgage lending, which accounts for unprecedented growth, is rallying now.
“When we launched a scoring loan for individuals ten months ago, business plan figures rose five and more times,” he said. “We could not imagine such a result. Loans totaling USD 30 million have been provided to individuals since the launch of this product.”
Barseghyan added that this is a considerable injection of financial resources in the economy and expressed hope that the new product – scoring loan for SMEs – will be widely demanded as well.
He said that Ameriabank was the first bank in Armenia to introduce the scoring system of providing loans to individuals, and now it is the first bank that offers the system also to SMEs, which will allow businesses to get loans online in a few minutes.
Ameriabank, a universal bank that provides the full package of corporate, investment and retail banking services, is one of the biggest and stable financial organizations in Armenia. It is the flagship bank in Armenia for all key indicators (assets, liabilities, loan portfolio, net profit and capital).

Ameriabank’s assets have grown 4.8% since the beginning of this year to AMD 710.2 billion by late September, liabilities 2.47% to AMD 622.8 billion and capital 25% to AMD 87.4 billion.
Its profit for Jan-Sept 2018 amounted to AMD 8 billion showing a 49.8% year-on-year growth. -0---
