Ameriabank to open branch at RIO shopping center

Ameriabank plans to open a branch at the RIO shopping center, scheduled to open in November in Yerevan, Ameriabank Retail Operations Director Arman Barseghyan said to a news conference today.
YEREVAN, October 24. /ARKA/. Ameriabank plans to open a branch at the RIO shopping center, scheduled to open in November in Yerevan, Ameriabank Retail Operations Director Arman Barseghyan said to a news conference today.
Barseghyan said two years ago the bank had initiated the opening of new format branches, which being smaller in size, offer the full range of services. The first such branches were opened at Yerevan Mall and Metronome shopping centers.
"These branches exceeded all our expectations, because they quickly gained large clientele base and this is why we want to unload them. In view of the demand, we plan to open another similar branch at RIO shopping center, as well as another one next year," Barseghyan said.
He noted that such branches operate quite actively and productively, since they function by the extended schedule. He also highly appreciated the operation of the Kumayri branch opened in April in the second largest city of Gyumri. According to him, the loan portfolio of the Kumayri branch has already exceeded 1 billion drams.
"It is important to increase the amount of business lending in Gyumri and stimulate business development, for which we offer preferential terms," Barseghyan said.
