About eight thousand vehicles in Armenia providing taxi services have been licensed from January 6 to November 16, 2015, the ministry of transport and communications said.
YEREVAN, November 17. /ARKA/. About eight thousand vehicles in Armenia providing taxi services have been licensed from January 6 to November 16, 2015, the ministry of transport and communications said.
It said more than 5,300 licensed vehicles are operated by individuals and more than 2,400 by 167 companies.
The ministry said only 9 applications for licensing were rejected this year. Four applications were turned down because of the right-hand steering and the other five because of lack of driver's licenses.
The revised licensing procedure was enacted on January 6, 2015. -0-
