Former Armenian president Robert Kocharyan has no share in the international airport Zvartnots and has never had, the press service of the Armenia International Airports company reported.
YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. Former Armenian president Robert Kocharyan has no share in the international airport Zvartnots and has never had, the press service of the Armenia International Airports company reported.
Zvartnots airport in Yerevan and Shirak airport in the second-largest town of Gyumri are run by Armenia-International Airports, owned by an Argentine citizen of Armenian descent Eduardo Eurnekian. In 2001 the company signed a concessional agreement with the government to manage the airports for 30 years.
In an August 16 interview with Yerkir Media TV Channel Kocharyan himself denied allegations that he had a share in Zvartnots airport.
Armenia International Airports CJSC wishes to clarify that it is an open and transparent company that has invested millions of dollars into the economy of Armenia, contributing to its steady development over the last two decades," the company said in a press release.
The company said it is ready to prove this by providing accounting books for a thorough audit. -0-
