YEREVAN, January 15. /ARKA/. In 2019, a total of 120.4 million cash register receipts were printed in Armenia, by 38% more than in 2018, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

'As a result, domestic trade grew by 21.9% to 345.4 billion drams (approximately $720.2 million),” the prime minister said in a Facebook post.

Pashinyan thanked all those citizens who demanded receipts in supermarkets and other stores and also all entrepreneurs who print receipts without citizens' request.

On January 9, Pashinyan said that despite all the efforts, many trade outlets still fail to print cash register receipts. He suggested that citizens record such incidents on video and provide them to  law-enforcement and tax authorities, who based on videos will have to conduct investigations. -0-
