Armenia's domestic trade up 23.1% in first 8 months of 2023
YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. Armenia's domestic trade upped 23.1% in the first eight months of 2023 from the same time span of 2022 to about 3 trillion 246 billion drams (in current prices), the National Statistical Committee reported.
It said the wholesale trade grew by 32 % to a little over 2 trillion drams, retail trade amounted to about 1.1 trillion drams, up 6.6% from the first eight months of 2022. Sales of vehicles raised about 164 billion drams growing by 57.2% year-on-year.
Stores accounted for 82.1% of the retail trade or over 886.6 billion drams showing 9.6% y-o-y growth. Consumer goods markets accounted for 3.9 % of the total or about 42.1 billion drams having dropped by 0.9%.
Farmer markets accounted for about 1% of the total or over 10.6 billion drams. Kiosk trade dropped by 3.3% to over 14.6 billion drams. Other trade outlets accounted for about 126.3 billion drams or 11.7% of the total. ($1 – 410.12 drams) -0-
