Armenia's largest corporate taxpayers pay more than 764.6 billion drams in various taxes

Armenia's 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid more than 764.6 billion drams in various taxes in the first 9 months of 2019, up from 672.1 billion drams, paid in the same time span of 2018, according to numbers, unveiled today by the State Revenue Committee (SRC).

YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. Armenia's 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid more than 764.6 billion drams in various taxes in the first 9 months of 2019, up from 672.1 billion drams, paid in the same time span of 2018, according to numbers, unveiled today by the State Revenue Committee (SRC).

According to SRC, the bulk of that amount- about 607.4 billion drams - were collected by the tax authorities, and about 157.2 billion drams by the customs authorities.

More precisely, about 140.7 billion drams were collected as income tax, 157.5 billion drams as payroll tax, 322.4 billion drams as VAT, 74 billion drams as excise tax, and 98.9 billion drams as other taxes and duties.

According to official data, the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine company in the southern province of Syunik paid 40.594 billion drams in taxes, having retained the top place in the list of the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in the first nine months of 2019.

Grand Tobako was second with 40.277 billion drams paid as taxes and Gazprom Armenia natural gas operator was third place with more than 33.623 billion drams.

Next in the list of the largest taxpayers were the International Masis Tabak company, which paid about 13.362 billion drams and GeoProMining Gold which paid 12.523 billion drams. The list of the top 10 major taxpayers also included Flash oil trader (10.75 billion drams), Electric Networks of Armenia (10.537 billion drams), Philip Morris Armenia (9.701 billion drams), GTI (9.263 billion drams) and CPS Oil (9.103 billion drams).
