Armenia’s money supply grew by 0.42 % in April

The amount of money supply in Armenia in April 2017 was worth 2.231.2 trillion drams, an increase of 0.42% over the previous month, the National Statistical Service said today, citing preliminary figures of the Central Bank.
YEREVAN, May 31. /АРКА/. The amount of money supply in Armenia in April 2017 was worth 2.231.2 trillion drams, an increase of 0.42% over the previous month, the National Statistical Service said today, citing preliminary figures of the Central Bank.
It said also the amount of cash outside the banking sector at the end of April amounted to about 372.6 billion drams (1.6% decrease), while demand deposits (in drams) declined by 2.48% to 240.9 billion drams.
The amount of time deposits in drams at the end of the reporting period amounted to about 483.1 billion drams (an increase of 3%). The volume of deposits in foreign currency stood at 1.134.5 billion drams (an increase of 0.6%).
The money multiplier at the end of April 2017 was 2.52. ($ 1- 481.7 drams). -0-
