Armenia’s three telecom providers paid 37.5 billion drams of taxes in 2015

Armenia’s three telecommunications companies paid a total of 37.5 billion drams of taxes last year, down from 49.5 billion drams they had paid in 2014, according to the numbers, released by the State Revenue Committee.

YEREVAN, January 26. /ARKA/. Armenia’s three telecommunications companies paid a total of 37.5 billion drams of taxes last year, down from 49.5 billion drams they had paid in 2014, according to the numbers, released by the State Revenue Committee.

According to official data, 35.1 billion drams were collected by tax authorities and 2.5 billion drams – by customs authorities. K-Telecom (trading as VivaCell-MTS) paid 18.6 billion drams, coming third in the list of the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers; ArmenTel (Beeline) paid 15.5 billion drams (7th) and Orange Armenia paid 3.4 billion drams (35th).

Overall, Armenia’s 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid a total of 696.5 billion drams of various taxes, by 0.6% less than in the previous year. The list is topped by the national natural gas distribution company Gazprom Armenia, which paid more than 42.6 billion drams, down from 42.8 billion drams paid in 2014 (a decline of  0.4%). 

ArmenTel is a 100% subsidiary of VimpelCom. VivaCell-MTS is owned by Russian Mobile TeleSystems (80%) and Lebanese Fattouch Group (20%). Orange Armenia is owned by Armenian Ucom telecom provider. ($ 1 - 488.23 drams).  -0-
