Armenia will allocate AMD 86.3 billion for modernization and development of its energy sector in 2018, Hayk Harutyunyan, Armenian deputy energy infrastructures and natural resources minister, said Tuesday in the National Assembly, where he discussed the 2018 draft government budget with parliamentary committees.
YEREVAN, November 1. /ARKA/. Armenia will allocate AMD 86.3 billion for modernization and development of its energy sector in 2018, Hayk Harutyunyan, Armenian deputy energy infrastructures and natural resources minister, said Tuesday in the National Assembly, where he discussed the 2018 draft government budget with parliamentary committees.
“In total, AMD 86.3 billion is planned to be allocated for developing Armenia’s energy system, where loans amount to AMD 72.7 billion, grants to AMD 6.6 billion, and AMD 7 billion will be taken from the government budget resources,” he said.
In his words, the programs are mostly aimed at modernization of out-of-date stations and infrastructures and replacement of dilapidated infrastructures with new ones.
The deputy minister also said that the construction of the Armenia-Iran 400-kilowatt high-voltage electricity transmission line is planned to be continued. ($1 – AMD 482.87). --0--
