Armenia to open duty free store on border with Georgia

Armenia will open a duty free store on the border with Georgia, territorial administration and development minister David Lokyan said at a Cabinet session today.
YEREVAN, December 29. /ARKA/. Armenia will open a duty free store on the border with Georgia, territorial administration and development minister David Lokyan said at a Cabinet session today. The government on Thursday took a special decision to allocate a space for the construction of the duty free store.
According to Lokyan, the store will be located at Bagratashen border checkpoint on a total area of 280 sq m. The law allowing the opening of duty free stores at Armenia’s border checkpoints was taken by the parliament in 2015
Armenia has two airports –Zvartnots in Yerevan and Shirak in Gyumri. It has also overland customs checkpoints on the borders with Georgia and Iran. -0-
