Armenia’s State Food Safety Service has banned the import of a batch of Russian meat and bone meal.
YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Food Safety Service has banned the import of a batch of Russian meat and bone meal. The importer was a private entrepreneur Sarkis Avetisyan, who wanted to bring to Armenia 22,000 kg of meat and bone meal produced by a meat-packing plant in the southern Russian city of Nalchik.
The ban was based on the fact that neither the manufacturer nor the importer were registered in the register of persons and economic entities engaged in the production, processing and storage of goods subject to control. -0-
The batch was re-exported to Russia. -0-
