Armenian and Canadian business people discussed cooperation

YEREVAN, March 16. / ARKA /. An Armenian-Canadian business forum was held Monday in Yerevan, the press service of the Armenian Development Fund said. The event was organized by the Development Fund together with the Union of Industrialists and Businessmen of Armenia and the Embassy of Canada in the framework of a delegation of Canadian entrepreneurs; visit to Yerevan (March 15-18).

Presentations on Armenia’s investment environment, free economic zones, mining industry, telecommunications, as well as agriculture and processing industries were made.

About 160 bilateral meetings were held between Armenian and Canadian entrepreneurs to discuss possible cooperation in the areas of food processing (meat), mining industry, IT-technologies, transport and consulting services. According to official data, Armenian-Canadian trade in 2014 was $16.3 mln. -0-
