Armenian and South Korean business people discuss ways to boost ties

An Armenian-Korean business forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia and the trade mission of the South Korean Embassy to Armenia, started on Thursday in Yerevan.
YEREVAN, October 19 /ARKA/. An Armenian-Korean business forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia and the trade mission of the South Korean Embassy to Armenia, started on Thursday in Yerevan.
Sixteen South Korean entrepreneurs and 9 companies are showcasing their products, including cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, shoes, as well as water heating geysers and door locks.
Meetings in B2B format are being held as part of the forum to help entrepreneurs to establish business contacts, to show Korean business people the investment opportunities of Armenia and the specifics of business registration here.
During a meeting with South Korean Ambassador to Armenia Woo Yoon-keun on October 18, Armenian acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia is eager to ensure continued development of Armenian-Korean relations as we want to implement an economic revolution based on South Korean experience.”
Pashinyan also emphasized that the Armenian government is interested in attracting investment from the Republic of Korea and implementing joint programs. Noting that Armenia has unilaterally removed the visa requirement for Korean citizens, Nikol Pashinyan expressed the hope that it can help strengthen ties between the citizens of both countries and boost tourist flows. -0-
