Armenian brandy production up 51 percent in 10 months

Armenia’s brandy production in the first 10 months of 2017 surged by 51.1% from the year before to 24.8 million liters, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.
YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s brandy production in the first 10 months of 2017 surged by 51.1% from the year before to 24.8 million liters, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today. According to statistics, wine production increased by 37.7% to 6.8 million liters, while vodka production decreased by 27.3% to 4.4 million liters.
Also champagne production grew to 429,400 liters from 385,500 liters in January-October 2016, while beer production increased by 9.4% to 18.5 million liters. Also production of whiskey declined by 21.2% to 907,500 liters.
Production of non-alcoholic beverages amounted to 78.3 million liters, 30.4% more than in January-October 2016. -0-
