YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. Armenian-Bulgarian forum will be held in Bulgaria after the parliamentary elections in Armenia on May 6, 2012, said Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Sargsyan and his Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borisov agreed to organize the business forum at the meeting in Yerevan on Tuesday.
“We have agreed that after the parliamentary elections Armenian government delegation, that will include also business representatives, will visit Bulgaria at the prime minister’s invitation,” he said at the joint conference with Borisov.

Despite traditional relations between the two nations the level of economic cooperation doesn’t meet the requirements of the sides, and Bulgarian delegation’s visit will give new impetus to the relations between the states, Sargsyan added.

In his turn, Borisov said that the trade turnover between Armenia and Bulgaria is about $27-28 million, and underscored the necessity to practice pragmatic approach in solution of economic issues.

According to data compiled by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the trade turnover between Armenia and Bulgaria dropped by 31.1% to $25.2 million in January-February 2012 from the same period a year earlier. -0-
