Armenian domestic trade drops by 0.1 percent in five months

Armenia’s domestic trade in the first five months of 2016 dropped by 0.1% year-on-year to about 774.3 billion drams, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s domestic trade in the first five months of 2016 dropped by 0.1% year-on-year to about 774.3 billion drams, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
The retail trade is said to have accounted for about 56.8% or 439.6 billion drams of the total domestic trade. Compared to the first five months of 2015 the figure represented a 4.2% drop.
The wholesale trade accounted for 39.7%, or about 307.5 billion drams. It was up 5.2% year-on-year.
According to statistics, stores and supermarkets accounted for 75.5% or 332 billion drams of the retail trade. Consumer markets accounted for 6.6% of the retail trade or 29.2 billion drams. ($ 1 - 476.68 drams). -0- -
