Armenian entrepreneurs warn Karen Karapetyan against lowering turnover taxation benchmark

Some 20 entrepreneurs along with Vardan Harutyunyan, head of the State Revenue Committee, met Saturday with Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister.
YEREVAN, November 28. /ARKA/. Some 20 entrepreneurs along with Vardan Harutyunyan, head of the State Revenue Committee, met Saturday with Karen Karapetyan, Armenian prime minister.
The entrepreneurs asked the premier not to down the turnover taxation benchmark saying this would kill small businesses.
Karapetyan agreed with them and promised to thing over the matter.
Difficulties in traveling to Georgia were discussed at the meeting as well.
“Passports are checked in four places, and at Bavra border checkpoint they are demanded by everyone who wants,” the entrepreneurs said and proposed to check papers in one-window mode.
Entrepreneurs also discussed with the prime minister problems in tourism and energy industries as well as in SMEs and taxation. --0---
