YEREVAN, October 22. /ARKA/. An Armenian-Indian pharmaceutical business forum and an exhibition will be held in Armenia's capital city Yerevan on November 10-13, the Indian Embassy in Armenia said. The event is a joint imitative of the Indian Embassy in Armenia and the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India's Ministry of Trade and Industry (PHARMEXCIL).

The forum and the exhibition will look into the prospects of establishing new business relations between  Indian  and Armenian pharmaceutical industries, the latest achievements in this field and legislative regulation; B2B meetings will be held as well with 23 leading Indian and Armenian companies.

Indian Ambassador to Armenia Kishan Dan Deval and senior director of PHARMEXCIL Abkhai Sinha will speak at the opening of the business forum.

India is the world's largest producer of generics, holding 20% of the global market. The country has 3 thousand pharmaceutical companies with a network of 10.5 thousand production facilities. India’s output is equivalent to one third of the US market and almost half of the European market. India's pharmaceutical exports in 2017-2018 amounted to $17.27 billion.

A PHARMEXCIL delegation visited Armenia for the first time in March 2011, when a set of agreements were concluded between Indian drug manufacturers, Armenian importers and pharmacies. --0--
