The Armenian ministry of economic development and investment has presented today www.investmentprojects.am, an electronic platform designed for companies wishing to invest in Armenia.

YEREVAN, February 17. /ARKA/. The Armenian ministry of economic development and investment has presented today www.investmentprojects.am, an electronic platform designed for companies wishing to invest in Armenia.
According to Aram Vardanyan, a ministry official in charge of investment projects, the platform is a new tool that will allow to present Armenia’s available potential to potential investors, and Armenian companies to present their projects.
"This is a very flexible tool for contacts with foreign investors, because today we have to communicate with them only through diplomatic missions, while the website will enable establishment of direct contacts," Vardanyan said.
He said all 160 investment projects which have so far been submitted to the government have been elaborated and typified and the most realistic and interesting of them have been selected to be placed on the website. He said any interested investor can find the list of investment projects, the expected volume of investment and a brief description of the project.
Currently, there are 35 projects on the website, but their number will be regularly updated, in particular, everybody can submit their investment projects by simply filling out the necessary application form on the website and sending it to the ministry of economy.
The electronic platform is available now only in English, however, the work is underway to have it in other languages as well. The project is a joint effort of the ministry and the Development Foundation of Armenia (DFA). -0-
