Armenian parliament specifies when national operator of navigation seals can be fined or deprived of status
YEREVAN, October 24. /ARKA/ The Armenian Parliament has discussed today in the first reading a set of draft amendments to the Law On Customs Regulation, which specify when the National Operator of Navigation Seals could be fined and when it could be deprived of its status.
Ashot Muradyan, the deputy head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), said the operator is obliged to ensure that the system work 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
‘If the uninterrupted operation is not ensured, a fine of 30 thousand drams will be imposed. In case of repeated violations, the fine increases to 50 thousand drams. If the violations are recorded more than twice, the operator is deprived of the national status,’ he said.
Also, if the operator does not ensure the uninterrupted operation of the system, which results in non-accounting and non-payment of taxes, the fine is set at 50% of the amount of unpaid taxes. If such a situation is repeated more than twice, the operator will be deprived of the national status.
Also, if the operator does not comply with the established prohibitions and restrictions, the fine will amount to 50% of the customs value of the goods and vehicles. If such a situation is repeated more than twice, the operator will be deprived of the national status. ($1 - AMD 402.21) --0--.
