The Armenian State Revenue Committee’s division in charge of detecting and investigating illegalities has added AMD 177 million to the government budget in October 2016, the press office of the committee reports.
YEREVAN, November 9. /ARKA/. The Armenian State Revenue Committee’s division in charge of detecting and investigating illegalities has added AMD 177 million to the government budget in October 2016, the press office of the committee reports.
According to the press release, 44 criminal cases have been opened thanks to the evidence collected by the division.
As many as 21 cases were denied investigation, while other 18 cases are under investigation now.
The damage inflicted to the government budget, including fines, amounted to AMD 655.8 million in October 2016, and the damage inflicted by declined cases to AMD 531.4 million.
As a whole, AMD 25.7 million has been returned to the government budget thanks to the division’s efforts.
Some 49 criminal cases related to property alienation have been opened. The aggregate tax liabilities on them amounted to more than AMD 1 billion 663 million, of which tax sum exceeded AMD 891 million.
Remarkable is that one criminal case has been instigated against a company in offshore zone, which had evaded taxes amounting to AMD 251 million. ($1 – AMD 477.86). --0----
