Armenian Vaba LLC invests $4.6 million in production of anti-hail grids

The Armenian company VABA LLC has invested $4.6 million in the production of anti-hail systems, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan told a Cabinet session today.
YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. The Armenian company VABA LLC has invested $4.6 million in the production of anti-hail systems, Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan told a Cabinet session today.
The government of Armenia awarded the company today a set of customs duty benefits and a VAT payment deferment. The company is to import equipment and raw materials.
"The company has already launched the production of ant-hail grids and installations in Vanadzor, having invested 2.25 billion drams and creating 24 jobs," said Khachatryan.
He said the new benefits will allow the company to start the next component of the investment program and purchase raw materials worth 9 billion drams to expand production. According to him, the company will create another 25 new jobs.
The plant for production of anti-hail grids was built by VABA company together with the Italian company CARMAC Group in Vanadzor. The company produces three types of anti-hail grids - for vineyards, for intensive, as well as traditional gardens.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 547 gas-generating anti-hail stations were installed in Armenia, including 99 in Ararat region, 73 - in Aragatsotn, 207 - in Armavir, 41 - in Lori, 87 - in Shirak, 20 - in Kotayk, 7 - in Vayots Dzor, 13 - in Tavush.
There are also three anti-hail rocket stations of the new Elia-3 type installed in the communities of Artashavan and Voskevaz of Aragatsotn region and in the community of Aknalich of Armavir region. ($1 - 486.31 drams). -0-
