ArmProd EXPO 2014 fair opens in Yerevan

The 13th international exhibition "ArmProd EXPO 2014" opened on Friday in the Armenian capital at "Yerevan Expo" premises, featuring the products of 67 companies from Armenia, 5 from Nagorno-Karabakh as well as companies from Russia and Ukraine.

YEREVAN, October 14. / ARKA /. The 13th international exhibition "ArmProd EXPO 2014" opened on Friday in the Armenian capital at "Yerevan Expo" premises, featuring the products of 67 companies from Armenia, 5 from Nagorno-Karabakh as well as companies from Russia and Ukraine.
The exhibition is showcasing strong alcoholic drinks, natural juices, beers, mineral waters and soft drinks, meat and dairy products, oil and fat products, frozen foods, canned fruits and vegetables, confectionery, coffee, tea, groceries, tobacco and tobacco products, equipment for the food industry, packaging materials and sealing and printing products.
The exhibition was visited by president Serzh Sargsyan, representatives from the ministry of agriculture, headed by minister Sergo Karapetyan.
Karapetyan said Armenia has 340,000 small farms, which provide almost 95% of the agricultural production.
On October 18 the ministry will hold an agricultural forum on the sidelines of the fair to discuss the challenges of Armenia’s agricultural sector.
The exhibition runs until October 19 inclusive. The event is a joint effort of the ministry of agriculture, the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia and LOGOS EXPO Center.-0-
