Autumn commission inspection of infrastructure held on SCR

The South Caucasus Railways (SCR) company reported Tuesday on the start of an autumn commission inspection of infrastructure and the rolling stock of SCR.
YEREVAN, October 2. /ARKA/. The South Caucasus Railways (SCR) company reported Tuesday on the start of an autumn commission inspection of infrastructure and the rolling stock of SCR.
According to the report, the commission, headed by SCR CEO Viktor Rebets, today will visit Ayrum-Gyumri railway road segment.
“In the period till November 15, the inspection of track, roadbed and structures, devices of power, automation, remote control and communications will be held.”
From October 20 to November 30, an autumn commission inspection of all SCR locomotives and motor-car rolling stock (except for those for repair) will be conducted.
The commission will significantly focus on the maintenance of fire safety facilities, and the equipment ensuring the safety of trains.
Snow clearing activities on the strategic roads and stations, repair works, preparations for winter, rest and favorable labor conditions for railroad workers will be in the limelight of the commission as well.
South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway.
Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years.-0-
