Average price of homes in Yerevan rise by 9.5 percent

The average price per one square meter of housing in apartment buildings in Armenia's capital Yerevan rose by 9.5 percent in the first half of 2019 when compared to the first half of 2018, the State Cadastre Committee reported.
YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/. The average price per one square meter of housing in apartment buildings in Armenia's capital Yerevan rose by 9.5 percent in the first half of 2019 when compared to the first half of 2018, the State Cadastre Committee reported. When compared to the second half of last year, the average price was up by 4.6%.
The highest price in the reporting period were registered in Kentron (Center) administrative district - 586,600 drams per square meter, the lowest - in Nubarashen district - 161,600 drams.
The average cost per square meter of housing in apartment buildings in the regions increased by 1.9% compared to the second half of 2018.
In the regions, the highest price per square meter of housing was in the resort town of Tsaghkadzor - (281,800 drams), the lowest - in Dastakert community in the southern region of Syunik (21,400 drams).
Overall, some 84,441 real estate transaction were registered in the first half of 2019, which was 11.1% more than in same period of time last year. The largest number of transactions was registered in Yerevan - 35.1% of the total, and the smallest - in Vayots Dzor region - 2%.
According to the State Cadastre, of all registered real estate transactions 37.6% were real estate sale and purchase transactions and 14.7% were primary registration of real estate. Also, inheritance transactions accounted for 15.3% of the total number of transactions, 17% were collateral transactions, 6.8% were real estate rental transactions and 8.6% were state registrations. -0-
