Belozyorov presents process of railway infrastructure improvement to Sargsyan

Oleg Belozyov, president of the Russian Railways OJSC, talking Thursday to Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian president, described what is being done for improving Armenia’s railway infrastructure under the concession management contract.
YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. Oleg Belozyov, president of the Russian Railways OJSC, talking Thursday to Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian president, described what is being done for improving Armenia’s railway infrastructure under the concession management contract.
According to the presidential press office, Belozyorov presented Sargsyan some figures showing effectiveness of the work and also pointed out some problems.
He also presented the South Caucasus Railway CJSC’s plans to Sargsyan.
Belozyorov also spoke about modernization of the Armenian Railway - its technical re-equipment and enhancement of its security.
Sargsyan wished Belozyorov success in implementation of the programs.
South Caucasus Railway, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway, which was handed over to the South Caucasus Railway on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years. --0---
