Brandy alcohol export support programme approved in Armenia

YEREVAN, 27 June. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved today a programme designed to support brandy alcohol exports.
According to the decision, entrepreneurs will be provided with state support in the amount of 100 drams for each litre of exported brandy products, which will allow them to reduce the cost of production, increase sales volumes, as well as ensure the process of grape purchase in 2024.
Until 30 December 2024, when the threshold of 100 thousand litres will be exceeded, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs exporting cognac alcohol will be able to benefit from state support.
In general, it is expected that about 7 million litres of brandy alcohol will be exported, which will result in additional free money needed to purchase about 80 thousand tonnes of grapes (i.e. about 50% of all grapes purchased in 2023).
The programme will not be available to producers selling cognac alcohol on the domestic market. -0-
