Businessmen from Yerevan and St. Petersburg talked about opportunities for bilateral cooperation Tuesday at a round-table discussion held as part of St Petersburg’s business mission’s visit to Armenia.

YEREVAN, October 16. /ARKA/. Businessmen from Yerevan and St. Petersburg talked about opportunities for bilateral cooperation Tuesday at a round-table discussion held as part of St Petersburg’s business mission’s visit to Armenia.
The discussion will open up broad prospects for direct contacts between businessmen to take Armenian goods to St Petersburg market at cheaper prices, member of Armenia’s public council Naira Nahapetyan said.
Among participants of the discussion were representatives of development and investment programs department of Yerevan Municipality, St Petersburg’s committee for business and consumer market development and the committee for external links, reps of various trading networks and industries from Armenia and Russia.
The meeting participants discussed opportunities for increased exports of Armenian products to ST Petersburg, terms and deadlines for doing business in the northern capital of Russia and other issues.
Armenian products have some advantages and ecological qualities are among them, leading specialist of harmonization department of “Lubavushka Retail Group” Liubov Rogova said adding she is ready to assist in promotion of Armenian products into St Petersburg’s market.
The meeting has also discussed problems and achievements in education, opportunities for international and inter-municipal cooperation of Yerevan with both St Petersburg and some cities of Estonia, Sweden and Germany.–0--
