The outflow of capital from Armenia amounted to $356,683,000 in Jan-May 2017, which is more than that of the same period a year before by $42.6 million, Zhoghovurd (People) reports.
YEREVAN, July 4. /ARKA/. The outflow of capital from Armenia amounted to $356,683,000 in Jan-May 2017, which is more than that of the same period a year before by $42.6 million, Zhoghovurd (People) reports.
It has become known from official sources that the bulk of the sum - about $144 million – has been taken to Russia and $64.4 million to the United States.
According to the media resource, money has been taken from Armenia also illegally, to offshore zones.
In total, $7.9 billion has been taken from Armenia abroad over the last nine years.
The authorities don’t comment on even a legal capital outflow, the authors of the publication say. --0---
