Cattle stock shrinks in Armenia, while pig stock grows

The number of pigs grew 18.7% in Armenia in early January 2019, compared with the same month a year before, to 197,844, that of goats grew 2.1% to 22,552 and horses 7% to 10,748, while the country’s cattle stock shrank 3.2% to 571,861, where number of cows reduced 4.8% to 253,990, the National Committee of Armenia reports.

The number of pigs grew 18.7% in Armenia in early January 2019, compared with the same month a year before, to 197,844, that of goats grew 2.1% to 22,552 and horses 7% to 10,748, while the country’s cattle stock shrank 3.2% to 571,861, where number of cows reduced 4.8% to 253,990, the National Committee of Armenia reports.
There were also 615,705 sheep in the country in early January 2019 as a result of a 3.5% year-on-year decline and 4,152,052 fowls, a 5.8% decrease. -0---
