YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. A spokesman for Armenia's Chief Civil Aviation Department (CCAD) Ruben Grdzlyan has denied today allegations by architect Anahit Tarkhanyan that the CCAD announced a tender for the dismantling of the internal thoroughfare of the old building of Zvartnots airport.

"The Chief Civil Aviation Department informs that it never announced such a tender. Moreover, it does not have authority to do so,' Grdzlyan wrote on Facebook.

Zvartnots airport is run by Armenia-International Airports, a company owned by an Argentine citizen of Armenian descent Eduardo Eurnekian. In 2001 the company signed a concessional agreement with the government to manage Zvartnots for 30 years. –0—
