Commerzbank awards quality excellence prize to Ameriabank

The German bank awards the prize annually to best partner banks in different countries as a special reward for securing the highest quality and quantity criteria in making international transactions. 

Ameriabank said in a press release today that it has been awarded the STP Award certificate annually since 2008, while the special Excellence Award for international transactions has been awarded for the third time. 

"When cooperating with correspondent banks, Ameriabank uses the Straight Through Processing (STP) format to make international money transfers- i.e. they are made entirely automatically, securing the maximum possible speed," the press release says. 

Ameriabank is a universal bank providing investment, corporate and retail banking services in the form of a comprehensive package of banking solutions. It is the first investment bank in Armenia, providing a wide range of innovative banking services since 2007. 

 The bank's assets as of September 30, 2014 amounted to 334 billion drams, a 6 percent rise as opposed to the beginning of the year, the liabilities stood at 293.2 billion drams, (up 6%), the capital stood at 40.9 billion drams (an increase of 5. 7%), its credits stood at 221.3 billion drams (up 19.55%), the liabilities to clients – at 206.3 billion drams (a growth of 21.4%). In the third quarter the bank earned 5.1 billion drams in profit, up from 4.6 billion drams earned in the third quarter of 2013. ($1 – 415.7 drams). -0-
