Customs clearance fees in Armenia still undecided - negotiations under way
YEREVAN, July 10. /ARKA/. Customs clearance fees in Armenia are still undecided, and negotiations over the matter are under way now, David Ananyan head of the State Revenue Committee told journalists on Tuesday.

He said that the Eurasian Economic Union’s common rules for customs clearance will come into force on January 1, 2020. The rules imply higher than the present customs clearance prices. However, he said, negotiations are being held now to leave the customs clearance fees unchanged.

Ananyan is still optimistic about the matter saying that if the union member countries agree, it is likely to be possible to retain the current fees. .

At the same time, he said that if the customs clearance fees are increased, Armenia will not be able to offset this increase by downing other tax or customs duties, and fees will go up any way, since there is multi-layered, not fixed rate in the Eurasian Economic Union. -0---
