Direct Russian investments in Armenia as of late 2014 amounted to approximately $4 billion, Russian Federation's trade representative in Armenia Andrei Bobko said at INVEST ARMENIA 2015 business forum in Yerevan today.
YEREVAN, May 8. / ARKA /. Direct Russian investments in Armenia as of late 2014 amounted to approximately $4 billion, Russian Federation's trade representative in Armenia Andrei Bobko said at INVEST ARMENIA 2015 business forum in Yerevan today.
"As of late 2014 the overall direct foreign investments in Armenia stood at about $10 billion, of which $4 billion were Russian investment,' said Bobko.
According to him, Russian investments "do not go away from Armenia, but remain in the country working for its industry."
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Armenian economy in 2014 stood at 349.9 billion drams, including 257.3 billion drams of Russian direct investments.
INVEST ARMENIA 2015 business forum was attended by the ministers of economy and agriculture, heads of various government agencies, foreign ambassadors, business people from Armenia and other countries.
The event was organized by Business Partners of Armenia (BPA) with the support of the ministries of economy, agriculture, Diaspora and the Yerevan Municipality. ($ 1 - 480.96 drams). -0-
