YEREVAN, May 31. /ARKA/. The total investment program of Ecotomato Armenian company will hit over 10 billion drams, the Acting Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan said at Thursday government session.
Armenia’s government decided to defer the reimbursement of 300 million drams required fr om Ecotomato as VAT on goods worth of over 300 million for three years, till May 15 of 2015, in exchange for importing the production worth of over 300 million drams.
The company exploits greenhouses in Goght village of Kotayk province of Armenia wh ere it cultivates roses utilizing modern technologies provided by Dalsem Holland company.
Currently, the investment program is on the second phase of implementation, according to him. Within the first phase the investments totaled in nearly 3 billion drams, and 950-million worth production was sold.
“Nowadays, the company is ready to implement the second phase of the investment program that is worth of 7.1 billion drams, 6.2 billion of which will be directed to purchasing a modern Holland equipment,” Davtyan said.
He noted that the project will ensure opening nearly 70 new jobs. Currently 40 employees work in the company.
Ecotomato also exports its production abroad, particularly CIS and Georgia($1 – 406.13 drams). -0-
