The list of the 200 richest people in Russia compiled annually by Forbes Russia has eight entrepreneurs of Armenian origin.
YEREVAN, December 17. /ARKA/. The list of the 200 richest people in Russia compiled annually by Forbes Russia has eight entrepreneurs of Armenian origin.
The richest Russia-based businessman of Armenian origin is the 53-year-old Samvel Karapetyan, the owner of Tashir group of companies, comprising 55 shopping centers, offices and hotels. In 2018, Karapetyan’s fortune is estimated at $3.7 billion. Karapetyan is 29th in the list.
The 51-year-old founder of the Magnit grocery chain Sergey Galitsky is in 32nd place. In early 2018, Galitsky sold 29% of his Magnit shares to VTB Bank for 138 billion rubles. In June 2018, Galitsky established the CH Capital investment fund in his native city of Krasnodar. His wealth is estimated at $3.5 billion.
The 44th place is held by the 45-year-old Andrei Andreyev (Ogajanyants) with $2.3 billion wealth. He is the founder of Badoo's online dating portal.
The 103rd place is held by the 50-year-old co-founder and former head of the Troika Dialog investment company and the Moscow Skolkovo management school Ruben Vardanyan with a capital of $950 million.
The head of the board of directors of RESO group Sergey Sarkisov and his younger brother Nikolai are in the 134th and 135th places respectively. The capital of each is $800 million.
