The Eurasian Economic Commission's (EEC) Board has raised the threshold for duty-free online trading for individuals who buy goods the personal use from the current 200 euros to 1,000 euros.

YEREVAN, March 18. /ARKA/. The Eurasian Economic Commission's (EEC) Board has raised the threshold for duty-free online trading for individuals who buy goods the personal use from the current 200 euros to 1,000 euros.

Armenia’s State Revenue Committee said this decision was made at a meeting of the EEC Board in Moscow on March 17.

The threshold rise will be effective until October 1, 2022. If the value of the parcel exceeds 1000 euros, or its weight is more than 31 kg, it will be required to pay a duty in the amount of 15% of the value of the order, but not less than 2 euros per 1 kg.

This decision will allow to support citizens who order goods for personal use in foreign online stores, and to avoid a shortage of goods. The decision comes into force after 10 calendar days since the date of its official publication.

The Eurasian Economic Commission's Board has also set a quota for duty-free imports of electric vehicles to Armenia- 7,000 electric vehicles in 2022 and 8,000 electric vehicles in 2023. --0--
