YEREVAN, June 30. /ARKA/. The Armenian government decided on Thursday to release additionally over 1.7 billion drams as incentive payments to farmers for sowing winter wheat.

The decision is meant to encourage farmers to increase land plots under winter wheat. The government had earlier earmarked 2 billion 825.5 million drams as incentive payments to farmers for sowing winter wheat on 32.5 thousand hectares. Of this land area, 11 thousand hectares were to be sowed with certified seeds.

However, according to regional administrations, almost 55.2 thousand hectares were sown with winter wheat, including 14.3 hectares with certified seeds. ($1 - 386.23 drams). --0--
