Restrictions will be imposed on gambling advertisement in internet, Armenian Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan said Friday at the government’s meeting while presenting amendments to the advertisement law.
YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. Restrictions will be imposed on gambling advertisement in internet, Armenian Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan said Friday at the government’s meeting while presenting amendments to the advertisement law.
In particular, the amendments propose to prohibit gambling commercials on websites for kids and teenagers as well as educational, medical and social websites.
Time restrictions are proposed by the amendments as well. Any commercial of drawing aired on TV and radio channels is allowed at a period between 22:00 and 06:00.
The total duration of advertisement must not exceed four minutes. The commercial can be broadcasted no more than three times within one hour, and its total duration is limited to 90 seconds. The administrative fine from breaching the law will be set at AMD 1 million or $2067.
The government gave its approval to the amendments. --0---
