Gazprom Armenia tops the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in quarter one

Armenia's national natural gas distributor Gazprom Armenia topped the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in the first quarter 2015, according to the State Revenue Committee.
YEREVAN, May 4. / ARKA /. Armenia's national natural gas distributor Gazprom Armenia topped the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in the first quarter 2015, according to the State Revenue Committee.
The Russian-owned company paid about 15 billion drams in various taxes in the first three months of the year, down from 17.7 billion drams it had paid for the first quarter of 2014.
Of that amount about 14.9 billion drams were collected by tax authorities and about 99.7 million drams by customs authorities. About 1.6 billion drams were paid as direct taxes and 13.3 billion drams as indirect taxes, including VAT and excise tax. Some 169. 3 million drams were paid as other taxes, duties and obligatory payments.
Gazrpom Armenia was followed by another Russian-run Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) power distributing company that paid about 4.6 billion drams in various taxes, significantly up from 1.8 billion drams it had paid in the first quarter of 2014.
The third largest corporate taxpayer was the Armenian Telephone Company (ArmenTel), which paid more than 4.18 billion drams against 4.2 billion drams it had paid in the first three months of 2014.
ArmenTel was followed by Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine, which paid 4 billion drams, up from 2.9 billion drams it had paid a year before.
The fifth largest corporate taxpayer was Alex Grig company with 3.9 billion drams of paid taxes, down from 5.2 billion drams paid in the first quarter of 2014.
Overall the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid more that 152.3 billion drams in various taxes for the first quarter of 2015, down from 154.3 billion drams paid for the first three months of 2014 (a 1.3% decline).
Of that amount about 105.1 billion drams were collected by tax authorities and about 47.2 billion drams by customs authorities.
About 49.6 billion drams were direct taxes and 84.9 billion drams - indirect taxes, including VAT and excise taxes; about 17. 5 billion drams were paid as other taxes, duties and obligatory payments. ($ 1 - 478.26 drams). 0-
