Chairman of the State Property Committee Narek Babayan told journalists that the committee has already received a number of applications, that there are some concerned people and that it is possible to put up the immovable property on auction on a fast track basis and seal a deal within two months.

"I can't say who is interested in the purchase - it is necessary to consider all the offers and understand which is the best," Babayan said. "Along with the property handover procedure, we will start accepting applications and will discuss all possible ways of alienation - through auction or through handover for concession management."

Babayan said that leasing and purchasing offers have already been received.
He said that the hotel complex's cost is assessed at $16.5 million, but offers to purchase it at higher prices have already been received either from Armenia or from Armenians living abroad.

The head of the committee also said that the property is legal, but it has not been used since April, because it has been in the process of handover to the government and in fact, it will be given to the committee just now. ($1 - AMD 476.07). -0—
