Ingo Armenia plans to win leading positions in the country

Ingo-Armenia, a division of the Russian insurance company Ingostrakh, plans to take the leading positions in the Armenian market, Ingosstrakh CEO Mikhail Volkov told journalists in Yerevan on Friday.

He said despite being small in terms of major indicators, Ingo Armenia grows faster than its Russian parent company. He stressed that when it comes to digital and business technologies, the Armenian company has even outstripped its parent company.
In turn, the deputy CEO of Ingosstrakh Tatyana Kaygorodova noted Ingo Armenia has good chances to develop medical insurance, insurance of agricultural risks and life insurance.
In the first half of 2017, Ingo Armenia collected 4.3 billion drams in insurance premiums, which was 18% more than in the same time span of 2016. Some 55% of the company’s portfolio are payments for voluntary types of insurance and 45% are payments for mandatory insurance of vehicles, which ensures a balanced and sustainable growth. Ingo Armenia has 195,000 individual and 2,000 corporate clients. In the first half of this year the company paid 1.9 billion drams in compensation claims.
Ingo Armenia was founded in 1997 as EFES insurance company. In December 2003, the Russian Ingosstrakh acquired 75% of its shares, after which the company was renamed Ingo Armenia Insurance CJSC. ($ 1 - 478.32 drams). --0--
