YEREVAN, November 3. /ARKA/. A large delegation of entrepreneurs from Russian republic of Bashkortostan will visit Armenia in March 2023. A Bashkir delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Economic Relations Lena Izotova visited today the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia (UIEA) in Yerevan.

UIEA’s Vice President Nerses Karamanukyan stressed the importance of establishing business ties between the Armenian and Russian regions, UIEA press service reported. Karamanukyan said there is a great potential for Armenia and Bashkortostan to cooperate in such areas as agriculture, food industry, healthcare, pharmaceutics and tourism.

In her turn, Izotova pointed out ample opportunities for further improvement of economic interaction, which is promoted by the trade house Bashkortostan already functioning in Armenia.

She said that Bashkortostan's exports to Armenia have doubled over the past year, while imports from Armenia have increased 40-fold, mainly on account of food and agricultural products and home appliances.

Bashkir businesspersons said they will take part in the "Caucasus: Construction and Repair" international exhibition in Yerevan slated for in March 2023. The guests also conveyed an invitation to the Armenian businesspersons to take part in the "International Business Week" to be held in Ufa in December.

The Bashkortostan delegation met also with Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Armen Arzumanyan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, issues related to the strengthening of trade-economic ties between Armenia and Bashkortostan, were discussed, including the opening of Armenian Trade House in Bashkortostan. --0—
