Lithuanian business people are in Armenia to explore its business opportunities

A group of Lithuanian business people led by Romualdas Ambrozhyavichyus, head of  Alytus branch of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are in Armenia  to explore its business opportunities, said the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Yerevan Karen Martirosyan.

YEREVAN, July 30. / ARKA /. A group of Lithuanian business people led by Romualdas Ambrozhyavichyus, head of  Alytus branch of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are in Armenia  to explore its business opportunities, said the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Yerevan Karen Martirosyan.

"We are going to discuss our chances to boost bilateral links and are likely to reach some agreements. The delegation has arrived in Armenia on its own initiative," Martirosyan told reporters.  According to him, the Lithuanian entrepreneurs have interesting suggestions. 

Today’s meeting was attended by representatives of agriculture and food production, transportation and logistics. He said both countries could boost their imports and exports.

In turn, a representative of the Lithuanian embassy in Armenia, Saulius Valainis, said more Lithuanian delegation will visit Armenia and urged Armenian business people to visit Lithuania too.

According to him, Armenia’s impending accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will bring about new additional opportunities for Armenian-Lithuanian relations.

“Armenia needs to win the markets of the European Union and Lithuania may use the Armenian market and its opportunities and links with Russia and other southern regions,’ he said. 

"Armenia is an interesting country for Lithuania. This is a very beautiful country. It has great tourism potential. If a little is invested in its tourism infrastructure, Armenia can compete with the best tourist countries of the world," he said. -0-
